PSI screw type competition level Superchargers (206D & 210C) are consistently manufactured to the standards as outlined in SFI (Safety Foundation) spec 34.1 and continues to exhibit the standards required to maintain this spec. PSI Superchargers do not endorse any changes, modifications or aftermarket parts (i.e. bearings, seals, hardware, or other named in the spec components etc.) to be used with or in place of these named products. Should one of these superchargers be modified in any way by anyone other than PSI superchargers, the SFI certification becomes null and void and PSI Superchargers shall be released of any and all “liability” and “held harmless” should any failure occur resulting in damage to the product, injuries, or other property damage.
SFI labels: (per the 34.1 spec) are placed on the supercharger housing and across the rear cover / housing parting line and are designed to function and act as a seal indicating the supercharger and the components remain “as constructed by the original manufacturer and not modified “as required by SFI spec 34.1, but also any modification not authorized by PSI will void the certification, regardless of tamper seal condition.
Because tamper-resistant seals are a practical enforcement method for sanctioning bodies, effective January 1, 2024, an SFI 34.1 conformance label removed & reinstalled, or cut / sliced or modified in any way also constitutes a modification to the Supercharger prohibited by SFI 34.1 and voiding the certification. PSI Superchargers also reserves the right to add “taper proof” hardware and wire seals to the rear cover as an indicator of unauthorized disassembly and reassembly of the unit, and the breaking or removal of these seals also constitutes a modification voiding the certification.
Counterfeit labeling: PSI Superchargers and SFI will and shall investigate and prosecute those individuals owning and / or presenting & using PSI / SFI certified superchargers displaying counterfeit SFI labeling. The racing and sanctioning bodies will be notified, and evidence provided of those individuals involved.
PSI’s policy for aftermarket coatings; PSI does not consider a properly applied coating to be an unauthorized modification voiding the certification, only if all the following conditions are met, any other coating process will void the certification:

PSI’s policy for aftermarket coatings; PSI does not consider a properly applied coating to be an unauthorized modification voiding the certification, only if all the following conditions are met, any other coating process will void the certification:
- PSI shall disassemble the unit, inspect and examine all components, document and photo the condition of all components prior to the application of any third-party coatings.
- The client will pick up the parts or have PSI Superchargers send the parts to the owner / responsible party and / or third-party person or company of their choice for coating application.
- Once the coating is applied and finished, the components shall be returned to PSI Superchargers for inspection, verification of clearances, proper fitment, and reassembly of the supercharger assembly.
- Should the client choose to coat the supercharger multiple times during the standard three-year certification period the client will only be charged for the disassembly, inspection, verification of fitment and the reassembly of the supercharger. Currently this charge is capped at $295.00 (additional time to clean, refinish housing, replace seals, or tip strips may apply).
- A new decal will be used each time and the original “manufacture” or “recert” date will remain unless a full SFI inspection is required or performed by PSI.
- If a full SFI inspection is required, the client will be informed via a complete digital inspection and reasoning explained in writing for the requirement. Examples of an earlier than normal 3-year reinspection would be “supercharger damage caused from outside influence such as excessive heat, ingestion of debris, major backfire events, damage from an accident etc).
